All Our Hidden Gifts by Caroline O’Donoghue

This book in 3 words: Atmospheric. Enchanting. Inclusive.

The cover pulled me in and THE STORY DELIVERED! The entire book is so beautiful... tarot card images throughout, stars over the page numbers, and just the right amount of details to be charming all by itself. A lovely introduction to tarot, which is something I've always been interested in, and the itch for me to get into it. ♥️✨

A beautifully written book, including a diverse cast of characters: gay, bisexual, gender fluid, non-binary. I really loved Maeve, our quirky main character. She's flawed, trying to figure it all out, and oh so relatable. This story is such a great rendition of the teen experience - no matter how painful at times.

Not only brimming with just the right amount of magic and lore, All Our Hidden Gifts explores significant societal issues like hate crimes, climate change, and true self-discovery. I thought it was deep, impactful, and carefully orchestrated. There's a second book and I'm just waiting for it to arrive so I can dive right in. 👏🏻
